I don't know what they are called exactly, but when you first type something through a search field on your computer it asks you if you want to it remember your entries. I absolutely hate it, I wish I wouldn't have chosen to use it. Anyone know what I'm talking about and can help?

It's called Autocomplete. Go to Tools->Internet Options, and then to the Content tab in the new window. Click on the Settings button under the Autocomplete section. Then uncheck the options you don't want to have saved.

actually you can't count on it staying gone. some webmasters use autocomplete="on" in their web forms. i use this in my forms. no i'm not evil. i just like autocomplete.

here is a tip to get around this. if you start to type something in and autocomplete won't leave you alone. type your stuff into notepad. then copy and paste it into the form to get around the autocomplete function.
