Not sure. I think was the right thing for him to do. He was afraid that all the wealth would distort their personality. He always lived fairly conservatively with his money. I liked that about Sam Walton and Sir John Templeton as well.

If I were Buffett's child, I would be wealthy of my own right. Better still, my father would have taught me how to be independent and how to create my own wealth.

No why would i be? i mean all that moneys going for good cause, and you probably inherit a lot of things that aren't money in cash, but worth a lot of it. plus think of the life style you would have lived for all that time?
