He just talked to the ref. Rooney was the one who did something to get himself off.

He was just telling the ref that he should give Rooney a foul for what he did. The ref didnt look like he was going to do anything, but obviously it should at least be a yellow card.. So Cristiano was the one who ran up and spoke up. He wasnt trying to get Rooney out of the game. Then Rooney started pushing Ronaldo around even though Rooney was the one who stepped on Cavalho. Obviously the ref had to give Rooney the red card. So Ronaldo really wasnt the one to blame even though every other person are scrapgoating him just because the best team won.

Wayne shouldn't have reacted the way he did, that appears to be what got him the red card, but ronaldo knew exactly what he was doing and how to make rooney 'snap', so it was anything but good sportsmanship.

In the end, we can take credit from the fact that the portugese had to resort to such tactics to win the game, leaving us safe in the knowledge that England are the better team.

He did nothing wrong against Rooney, watch the replays and you can see he just says something with the referee. It was Rooney who should have behaved himself. He is the only one to blame for breaking the hearts of scores of England fans including me.
