That's funny. I HATE the new one and wish it would go away. The reason it keeps switching back and forth, I assume, is that Yahoo is gradually getting people use to it.
I'm seriously looking around for a new home page and one that does not take up 150% of my screen and waste my time having to reset it every time. And one that doesn't keep jerking around as more crap is tossed out onto the page which means I have to continually move my cursor to a new spot. Yahoo obviously is targeting a demographic group of 15-33, high school education, and poor attention span.
Their once really well done Tech Tuesday page has deteriorated into nothing but spam for seriously overpriced products from companies who charge full price. Their "free" music player and media page was designed for AOL chatroom types who need bright colors and flashy pictures of trashy people to hide the fact that to listen or watch anything you have to run a gauntlet of ads. Try Live365 for a much broader selection and infinitely faster response times. For a site that was once know as the starting point to an online world of information Yahoo has moved squarely into the MSN/AOL camp of emphasizing pop culture and a MacDonald's mentality. Too bad.

Yahoo randomly picks users when they would launch the new yahoo website and we cannot control that. But of course you could keep the old page if you want to.
Just scroll to the bottom part of the homepage and click on "Switch to Old page". If you dont want to keep on setting your internet explorer to the old page then make sure that you follow this steps:
1) click tools on top then choose internet options
2) click settings under temporary internet files
3) put the button selection into never
this will ensure that your browser will retain the older pages that you have accessed and wont try looking for newer versions.
