Schlitterbahn in New Braunsfels, Texas was rated the best water park on the Travel Channel in the past. There are not many parks that have both river water and closed pool areas. I do not know of any other parks where you are encouraged to bring your food and drinks. It really takes 2 days to enjoy the park since it has gotten so big. Skip the Schlitterbahn in So. Padre though, too small and not enough rides (good for small kids though).

Maybe the one in the Texas Hill country, but not the one at South Padre Island.

With everything closing---i think it's the only waterpark nowadays in America!---(at least in my area)
