Update:
This is a UK question, wasn't expecting US answers! AA is the Automobile Association, not Alcoholics Anonymous... thought it was worthwhile clearing that one up.

I am assuming you mean AAA roadside assistance. My hubby used to work for them and he always went the extra mile to help people out. It was a blessing to us when customers gave him tips- we really needed it at the time. There are those who work the job, they only do what they have to do and not always very friendly. I would definitely reward someone who was extra courteous, friendly and went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out of a bad situation.

God, I hope you mean AAA and not AA. I would hate to think you call a recovering alcoholic for car help!

As for the tip, it would definitely be a nice thing to do and be greatly appreciated if you can.

Do you mean AAA? If so, I think if you believe he's gone out of his way and done more than his job requires, then yes, I personally would tip him, but that doesn't mean he's going to accept it.
