I'm mainly into emo, screamo, hardcore, indie... stuff like that. [can see about of "just kill yourself now" hate mail... being sent in, lol.] I would have to say my favorite songs would be "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White T's. It's one of the most beautiful acoustic tracks I have ever heard. Simple & emotional lyrics... aka perfect. Also, I like "Secrets Don't Make Friends" by From First To Last [my favorite band] and "Take It Easy (Love Nothing)" by Bright Eyes. Bright Eyes' singer, Connor, has not the best voice, but his deep, emotional, and cutting lyrics make up for it completely. "Take It Easy..." doesn't really display those qualities in Bright Eyes, but it is a light & catchy song. My favorite lyric in this song is "I'll trap you in a song, tied to a melody & I'll keep you there so you can't bother me." It makes the whole song sounds like it's meant to put away feelings and emotion. Also, it's just interesting how you can just put someone on paper... & their gone. I know this sounds cliche, but "Life On Standby" by Hawthorne Heights is another lovely song. The lyrics hit close to home, which what I like in music, I want to feel something when I hear it, I want to be emotionally changed when I hear the lyrics, I want to hear something that is meaningful to me. Anyways (I'm acting as if I'm writing an essay, I apologize) some great screamo songs would be "As Your Voice Fades" by Emery. This song makes me cry a lot [not to sound emo...] but the lyrics if you just sing along and feel them, you will definetly express some emotion. "A Boy Brushed Red Living In A Black And White World" by underOATH is also a good song. My favorite lyrics from this song is, ".... my heart is dead and it's way past beating." I think you can look upon it two ways. Beating as the usual contracting state it should be in, or beating as it's past being beaten, from heartbreak and such. I love lyrics that have two meanings or are ironic. Such as "You rise to fall, you lost it all." in the song "Rain On Her Parade" by A Thorn For Every Heart and in the end of the song they scream "I rose to fall, I lost it all." Hope this explains the varyed tastes I have in music & why I like them.

<3 Brittany

P.S.: Isn't it intersting that people spell their favorite songs wrong? You would at least think they would get that right.... lol.
