It can be forever IF and only IF both parties are committed to making sure that it works, and stays there through all of the trials and tribulations that come up with being with someone for a long period of time including, cheating, bad health, family issues and money issues.

I don`t know...I mean, I have been married...didn`t work out, so...i already believed in forever and 7 years later....split. But splitting up with someone does not have to mean stop loving the person. It just means that there are some things that even Love can`t mend. This is a tricky thing...really. I think if you love someone...you love them forever. Deep down...somewhere in your heart they will be there always.

Yes, but you can't be on relationship auto pilot. You both (2 people) have to work things out.

Plus it really depends on what someone believes that the word forever means? If I believe that forever means in sickness and in health but my partner believes forever means only when things are good than we would not stand a chance in hell.

I love my husband and if something happens where we don't work out, I cannot believe that I won't always have a place for him in my heart. I would never have married him if I didn't believe it was forever in one way or another.

i'd like to think so and i'll certainly do everything i can to ensure that my relationship stays alive and kicking, but you truly never know. people grow and as long as you can keep things amicable and retain a friendship that's all you can ask for. i chose my husband, not only because he's an amazing person, but because i know he'll be an amazing father and (heaven forbid) years down the track things go bad, he'll continue to be an amazing father and friend. that might sound awful and i love him more than anything, but i'm also a realist and you can only rely on now and hope for the best.
