Probably would have to be Pantera 5 minutes alone, followed close by Disturbed Stupify.

Too many to really choose a fav, and for those that think GNR or whitesnake is heavy metal needs to have their heads examined. He said heavy metal not pop rock. >;P

I would say You Give Love A Bad Name by Atreyu... it's a cover of Bon Jovi... and it' s hardcore instead of heavy metal... but who cares about technicalties? ^_^
