You can get a buck a mile for transporting cars (maybe $400 a day).
The real money, however is in expedited service, where it absolutely has to get there on a strict schedule. Say, a giant piece of machinery needs a part and it is holding up the whole operation. Negotiation is key.

Depends. I heard Roadway Trucking Company Drivers make $80,000 a year. I don't know if you ever heard of that company. Or start your own company, but remember all the permits, repairs, inspections, etc.

Gee that's a broad pay range. Anywhere from 0.25 cents a mile to upwards of 0.38 cents a mile. Plus benefits. Every company has their own pay scale.
