I am going to go out on a limb. I like Madonna the early years for her music it was more dancable then. But I find her just a little to bizarre in terms of pushing the envelop with sexuality and shocking people. On the other hand I admire Janet for making a name for herself being Michale's little sister. She set a standard for beauty and raw energy on stage, and she is quite talented. Or should I say the second talented one of the whole Jackson clad. And she has some longevity. The Superbowl was completely tackey. But I credit both her and Madonna for level of fitness that is off the charts. It was a recent pictoral in "W" magazine. My choice is Janet if she does keep resorting to "cheap theactrics".

It's gotta be Madonna.she is the queen of re-invention and always has everyone talking,is very influential(Take a look at Kaballah,it's like a pill in Hollywood),has more hit songs than Janet and really good unforgettable music.
