Because with my generation (i'm 16) all we are presented is sex. I am not giving an excuse at all, but you are what you see.
Sex should be special, it should be shared with someone you deeply care about (before or after marriage, it doesn't matter). Only then can it be called Making Love.
But when you are just going out and getting "laid" just for the popularity and such, its just stupid.
I know a 13 year old girl who is 5 months along because she had sex around... 30 times before she screwed up and all of her mistakes caught up with her.
I'll be honest, I have had sex, only.. maybe 4 times. And its been with the one person that I love more than anything. And I will defend my position there to people who think that 16 is too young to fall in love. [and BTW- if you think that, you dont know what love truly is.]

the reason i believe people are in such a hurry to indulge in such activity is because ya know people are in are hurry to do alot these days! and i think that alot of people think love and sex go hand and hand- and they don't!! now i can love you, but i can show you in more than one way, it does not necessarily have to be sex!and to the person who asked this question yes,it is special. because to go into a marriage pure is the best thing you can do, because what so special about the love making that someone impure does with her husband if its something another man has already had!so stay pure, and not only pure but true to you!

You're right sex is sooo overrated these days and now we got little 10 year olds running around saying they've slept with whoa so many guys that it's effin ridiculous. If anyone knew what was right for them they would wait for that special some one.

I think it should be special, but it's all over the TV, you hear about at school, everyone seems to be followers nowadays, nobody can be a good leader and set examples to our younger generations...?

It should be special, but people are taking it for granted and it's losing it's sacredness. It's just something people do now. You do what you feel comfortable and don't let anypone sway your opinion.
