NO!!!!
Land Hermit Crabs must never eat fast foods.. they are filled with preservatives salt and bad bad things. Plus white potatoes are a no-no anyway.
Hermit crabs can not and must never be offered anything containing table or human food salt it is deadly. The anti-caking agents that are in it will become toxic to the crabs and they will definalty die.
Definatly do not give you crabs Anchovies which are packed with salt.. very bad not to mention they are packed in a can and themetal leaches into the foods and then also is toxic to Hermit Crabs.
The only foods that should be offered to Land Hemrit Crabs are Salt free sugar free no pesticides no preservatives or anyhting like that.
Only human grade, fresh fruits veggies, meats and fish all free from seasonings.
Although many people will say differently Hermit Crabs are quite sensitive creatures and that is why the success rate of a Land Hermit Crab living in captivity with a novice is very low.. you will hear more people on here saying they do not live long and died with in a few days, weeks or months then people like myself who have 15 and 10 year old Land Hermit Crabs who are perfectly happy due to their care.
Here is our complete food list for beginners.. no commercial foods will be found here because they are also finnled with preservatives and cut the Crabs life very short.. it is all a ploy to get you money.
(Make sure everything is of good quality, human grade where possible, organic and all natural with no added ingredients, preservatives, fertilizers or pesticides.)

They will try eating it, but it isn't good for them. Give them anchovies or something else that they like.
