Just 4 fun is exactly right. You can get pregnant any time of the month. People will tell you different, but I heard that straight from my OB/GYN. She told me it is a misconception that there are "safe" times of the month. She said every woman is different and the "rules" of ovulation can differ from woman to woman. Some woman may ovulate sooner than mid cycle and some woman can ovulate later than mid cycle. It is not an exact science. Some woman are on a 28 day cycle, some a 31 day cycle, it varies. Sperm can also live inside of a woman for days. The sperm could still be alive when you ovulate, thus causing pregnancy. It is always better to be safe and use protection if you are certain you re not ready to have a child.

Technically you are most furtile on the 14th day of a 28 day cycle. So lets say you are on a 28 day cycle, you can get pregnant only for a 24 hour period, but since you are furtile during the 14th day, sperm can live inside you for up to two days, you can also concieve up to 2 days after your highest furtile day. So to calculate :

17th (period)
30th (14 days)

Proable days before and after the 30th = 28 & 29th June and 1st & 2nd of July...

Today is the 14th, your period is due if you are on a 28 day cycle, if you don't get your period in another 5 days, i'd be doing that test.

Good Luck

I took a class about child care and pregnancy... You can get pregnant any time... but the most frequent time is 14 days after the first day of your period... It takes one week for a pregnancy test to detect the pregnancy hormone... So it's been a week since July 2... I suggest you go take a pregnant test and get it cleared up... If you are underage... then you can go to a clinic and they will not be allowed to tell your parents... Hope every thing works out...

Hello -

You can conceive a baby ANY TIME throughout your cycle. The only difference is that during your Ovulation time (when your most fertile) you are at high risk of pregnancy. Any other time outside of this ovulation period is a low risk of pregnancy.

Hell some women even conceive during their period. But conceiving during your period is very very unlikely because there isn't a egg in the correct position in which to be fertilised.

So basically ANY TIME you have unprotected sex you can conceive a baby. Use protection and play it safe.

MOST LIKELY YOUR NOT, MOST WOMEN OVULATE BETWEEN 11-14 DAY AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF LAST PERIOD. WOULD BE WISE TO USE PROTECTION IN THE FUTURE.... IT ONLY TAKES 1 TIME TO GET PG. AT TIME DURING PERIOD. NOT TO MENTION STD'S. GOOD LUCK!
