i really need a cell phone
how can i convince my parents to get me one

Try being honest and give them the good reasons why they should get you one. That's the easy one. LOL. Maybe you should tell them that it would be good for you to have just in case of emergencies, etc.

I would try to talk them into getting a pre-paid one. They're prob just worried about you going way over your minutes and having a billion dollar phone bill at the end of the month. This way with a pre-paid, once your out of minutes...too bad!

You need a valid reason.
This reason must be helpful for you and your parents.
There should be rules in place for phone use.
You should pay for phone, not parents.
Do not get one without their permission, as they will find out.
Good luck in your ventures, be an adult, act like an adult, then you will probably receive some adult privileges from your parents

show them you are a responsible person that needs the phone for emergencies and to keep in touch with them when you are out (some bull crap like that has to work )

Get a job. Pay for your own phone.
Why on earth should someone else give you a phone? Earn what you want.

uhm. you stay out too late one night and hope they get soo worried that they realizr you needa cell. it worked for me. good luck
