I liked it, but I think it is dead. NBC has taken down its web page: http://www.nbc.com/error404.html

From Zap 2 it, written on February 03, 2006:
"At a January meeting with reporters at the biannual Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena, Calif., NBC entertainment chief Kevin Reilly said, "The show has done a pretty good job over on Monday. I think it's creative. It's got a very loyal audience."

NBC: Future of 'Surface' January 24 2006:
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds28363.html
"NBC has yet to make a decision on the future of sci-fi drama Surface, according to entertainment president Kevin Reilly..."I think it's creative," Reilly said at the TCA tour. "It's got a very loyal audience. We'll reassess in May, and we'll look at the rest of the product, but no decision [on its future] is made right now one way or the other."

According to (May 2005) All-Hip Hop Week: http://community.allhiphop.com/showthread.php?t=255773
Surface is in the list of canceled shows for 2006

The SciFi channel was showing the series as well, but it seems to be dependent on NBC for the episodes.

It's a shame series co-creator Josh Pate says he has a lot more story to tell. According to TV.com interview: http://www.tv.com/tracking/viewer.html?tid=87994&ref_id=32412&ref_type=101
"TVGuide.com: Is there a firm or semifirm plan in your mind for a second season, should NBC decide to pick you up? Things seem to have finished up at a breakneck pace. Is there any steam left?
Pate: Definitely. We're just getting started. To me, this was the epilogue to the ongoing story. We kind of hinted at Kessler, the guy behind all of this stuff, and his emergence is the centerpiece of Year 2. With genetic engineering, you can pretty much engineer anything you want. We have a lot of options and there are a lot of things we want to play, for sure."

It's not. The idiots at NBC cancelled it. However, it may pop up on the Sci-Fi Channel since its owned by NBC. Probably depends upon public demand. I wouldn't hold my breath. Everything worth watching seems to get cancelled in favor of a never-ending round of mindless sitcoms and reality shows.

I haven't heard yet but I sure hope soon. I have resubscribed to TV Guide cause they keep you 'up to date' ahead of time so I don't miss the premiers.
