It's a legend, or rumor if you will.
1: There were no ONE "artist" who drew the stupid pictures. There were twelve of them.
2: All twelve "artists" have appeared in public media, made statements (on other topics. Mind you, this topic is waaaay back in history by now. News have a short lifespan) since this rumor has circulated on (parts of) the Internet.
3: If you had the slightest knowledge about Denmark (size, population, constitution, population density, culture, etc.), you would know that the idea is absurd. It is conceived by a mind who knows only regimes who is capable of such an act.
4: Did you know, by the way, that most Danes found the it was wrong and stupid by the right-wing paper to offend a particular segment (Muslims) on purpose? Just to see how far you can push the limit of freedom of speech. This was a project started by ONE particular right-wing pro-US paper. NOT "Denmark", Danes, or the Danish government.

Was it the Government who burnt him? It's not right that the news should be hidden from the public.
