I don't think it's the battery because my lights still comes on and my horn still blows, but i really don't know much about cars.

Whenever I've heard a car make that noise, it's usually a jammed starter motor..... or the battery doesn't have enough power in it to start it......

A trick I recall to unjam the starter motor (requires a few friends to help) is to get some willing volunteers to push the car along.... start off in neutral, then once it gets moving, slot it into gear (but don't turn the ignition key just yet)..... and you should hear a noise as it unjams (then go back into neutral, apply brake, see if it'll start). The only other cure is a few skillful taps with a hammer (I love this particular method).

If both them fail, then it's time to have a new battery fitted...... make sure it's a good one... I prefer those made by "AC Delco"

Starter motor has gone bad
or you have a weak battery.

Do this.
Try jump starting the car from another car. If jump starting the car works, then you've got a bad battery, or you need to clean the terminals on your battery.

If jump starting doesn't work, then your starter motor has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

Pull the starter off and take it to an auto parts store and they will check it for you. Or have a mechanic look at it.

clicking sound equals bad battery..just enough juice to ingage stater relay but not enough to turn startrer over. first step check batt, then starter.
