I am leaving out of Galveston, TX going to Cozumel July 10-16th... If there was storm going to hit the gulf coast,,would it be showing up out there right now.

( i would hate to leave my house w/ a storm out there!)

The long range models show no tropical storm activity in the Gulf Of Mexico through July 9. As of this moment, couldn't tell beyond that. Keep an eye on these models...if you want.

There is not any tropical activity currently. At this time of year, tropical activity tends to develop close to home. (as opposed to Cape Verde). July 10Th-16Th is too far out to predict what may occur.

According to NOAA there is no tropical activity in the Atlantic right now.
