In this day and age, it's just plain silly that not everyone has their own website. If you're on Yahoo! Answers, then you have, in my opinion, what it takes.

Yes, anyone can be a webmaster these days. I think it's kind of interesting with people competing to create the best content, and it's amazing how it encourages people to learn new languages to write their webpages. Some people's websites are just silly, that's true, but we have gotten a lot of great websites out of it also. I can ignore a lot even to enjoy the few.

first of all if u wanna be a webmaster and work under this name u must be perfect in Internet
u must know about internet business
have information about computer network
know databases and how to use and diagnose them
know web servers and be able to work and configure them
ofcourse have enough knowledge about HTML
can work with mail servers
manage and repair website and website problems
and ...
many things
do these first until the next items ;)

you have to "master" the web. which means a lot more than making some pos page with a cracked copy of dreamweaver or frontpage. you have to know coding, databases, and asthetics. if ANYONE on myspace could be called a "webmaster", the web would fall apart.

Money
Knowledge of HTML/another coding language
A lot of free time
Content
and a passion for something.
I don't have a website because I think it's a waste of time.

First and foremost an original idea. An eye for detail aand the knowledge to implament it. And if not the knowledge then the determination to find out how....
