First time this has ever happened. Is this a good or bad thing for the NBA?

good.get more fans in different areas of the us.even if they dont have a team.las vegas is the number one most traveled place in the us.

I think if the NBA is going to allow Las Vegas to host an All-Star game then they need to start considering other cities that do not have teams. I have no problem with it, but it needs to be done in fairness.

THIS IS A GOOD THING! In quite a few ways.
- There will be no favorite player like there was this year. This year everyone on the west was trying to get T-Mac the MVP for his hometown.
- Las Vegas has plenty of rich visitors who would be willing to spend a bit of time and cash on a great show such as the All-Star game.
- THE PLAYERS CAN PARTY! WOOHOO!

That's a bad thing cuz the community might sue 'em 4 not having the NBA All Star game when they said they will have it on time.

money ways it good for the nba and the city bad for the players why should they play in a city that makes so much money but does not want to support a professional team

It is a bad thing for the NBA, because the players that go to all-star weekend will be very distracted.

VERY VERY VERY BAD!!!>...its just that the nba..has young rich males...who like slutty....women...and gambling...i JUST answered a question...that was hating on the "thug"..image..but the nba..has the allstar game in SIN CITY..what happens in vegas STAYS in vegas??!!...wowo...the commish...SMOKES WEED..and pokes those strippers..just like the players....just wait..till its 5+ years and dewayne..wade..is busted for some "transgression"...then who will the nba's choir boy be then????
