Ethan, Ethan, you usually seem like a decent person.

but this question is just a blanket statement without substance.

your one of the good guys...com on!

I'll throw you a bone....

The problem is that even facts are now disputed by the right wing, or they offer multiple realities at the same time.

example 1) Social Security the white house produces scary numbers to argue to privatize.....

at the same time produce alternate happy numbers to defend tax cuts and the promise of cutting the deficit.

i could go on but.......you really didn't ask anything real.

Truth is just a viewpoint in politics. The liberals are a bit scattered right now, but the Conservatives are wearing out their "political capital." Give it an election or two, they'll be back.

The funny part is that all the "special powers" Bush is grabbing will fall into the hands of the liberals.

Hillary talking to the NSA:
"I need you guys to closely monitor all the churches." "Any one of them could be a domestic terror cell ready to bomb a clinic."

Disclaimer - I do not endorse either party.

What exactly is "the liberal argument." Broad-brushing people who have a different political belief than you only serves to demonstrate YOUR ignorance.

The only purpose in this "question" is to bash people who don't hold the same view as you. It may give you a false sense of superiority, but it certainly serves no useful purpose.

If you care to have a thoughtful discussion on a topic, try putting a real question out there.

Oh god. When will people learn that just because someone doesn't agree with their dear leader that keeps them safe like a warm concentration camp...I mean blanket...doesn't make us "liberals". Bush has burned quite a few real conservatives too. Small government MY ***. Reduced spending...pffft. Moral issues that aren't just a political stunt...bite me. Defend my country with a SINGLE COMBAT DIVISION against 11 million invading Mexicans? Si senor!

Which light of truth is that anyways? I've seen Fox pundits get punked more times than I can count. I'm sick of it. I want the real conservatives back, not these neo-fascist neocons and their idiot worshippers.

Exactly what liberal argument are you speaking of and what do you consider to be the light of truth??

Because you're living in a dream world. Anyone who cannot deal with reality tends to make up their own version of the truth. Not surprising though, ultra-Conservatives have been doing that for years.

Time to wake up and smell the rotting flesh of our waining civil liberties and Constitution.

Because fact and reality (real truth) always falls apart when held under neocon prejudices.

Because right wingers think the light of truth comes from burning a straw man.

Another snow job by conservatives. PROVE TO ME A LIBERAL, also not a chickenhawk (served in Viet Nam under Col Hal Moore of, "They were soldiers" fame) THAT ANYTHING CONSERVATIVES SAY IS true EXCEPT AS supported by your opinions and those who agree with you. Sounds like circuitous reasoning.

that is to say that Liberal arguements are always wrong. And in saying that your belief systems promote a better good, to say that liberal arguements are always wrong implies that they are malicious and seek a greater evil.

You must admit there are those out there who are liberal and seek a better good as well. Perhaps you haven't seen a liberal arguement hold water because it hasn't been presented in a logical and calm manner before.

try not to be so drastic, eh?
