Who said "goth" had anything to do with worshipping the devil?? If you like the music, then you like the music. Bust through the stereotypes.

First, let's all take a moment to realize that "Gothic" does NOT mean "Devil Worshiper". I mean, I'm sure there are Gothic Devil Worshipers. There are also Preppy Devil Worshipers, Punk Devil Worshipers, and Devil Worshipers in just about every other label you can think of. [Believe it.]
Second, would you change your religious beliefs just to listen to Gothic music?
Third, what do you consider Gothic music? Gothic music is generally recognized by its sad, dreary lyrics and melodies. It is more "sad" than "mad".
Fourth, just because a band or singer wears black does not mean they are Gothic. Currently popular band My Chemical Romance are more mad then sad, therefore more punk then Gothic.
Now let's get down to some classic Gothic bands. My personal favourite is The Cure. There's also Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Cocteau Twins, and, more recently, The Cruxshadows.
In conclusion, Gothic music does not mean the devil must be included. Sure, the devil and hell will be mentioned from time to time. Then again, so will god and heaven.
Get your basic genre definitions straightened out.
Then you can answer the question yourself.

if it's a hindrance in your life, i wouldn't listen to it.
to be honest, gothic music & connected with satan, it's considered demonic music. he (satan enjoys that music). gothic individuals wear all black, which is considered darkness, evil, death.
some individuals that listen to the music don't understand quite what they're getting involved with.
i only listen to christian music. if you're near me in chino hills, ca or close by i love 89.7, 95.9, or 107.9
you fill your heart, mind, body & soul with godly music.
see, the devil was in the very beginning the most beautiful angel created by god. he then wanted power over god, so he (devil) lost respect for god, so that's why god sent satan down to hell. satan was in charge of worship, meaning music, song.
now that's why satan has such a hold on music in this world, now it's so corrupted, perverted, demonic. instead of leading worship for god, he leads it right into the pit of hell.
music can really have a stronghold, hindrance peoples lives. trust me, this is all the truth.
becareful with gothic music, stop listening to it before it takes a toll on u, & you probably won't even know what's going on or how u got where u r at. it will lead into other satanic/demonic issues. don't open, don't even open up that door b/cuz u may not b/able to close it. get away from it, that is....

You should listen to what makes you feel. Good or bad.
Music should move you.

I listen to anything from Barry Manilow to Ozzie Osborne.
People used to get mad at me for listening to Ozzie because he was some kind of Devil worshiping freak, People are always afraid of thing they are ignorant about. They spout out stupid dribble without really listening to the words for themselves.

So listen to what you want to, your tastes will change from time to time but as long as it make you happy. Then don't worry about what others say.

You can listen to music that you enjoy, even if you don't internalize the message.

You could even have a favorite religious song if you like the music, and again not necessarily internalize the message.
