I have looked for ages at sunk boat on inl. river. No claimants.Can I salvage legally. Who to notify?

Tied up too tight and sank herself on water rise. They must have felt too stupid to ever come back.No sign of any interest( over one year since)

claim salvage on it, i think you might have to contact the coast guard or river authority 1st tho. i got my boat the same way and sold it on,had no probs.owner could be dead ?????

did you check to see if the owners are still on board
