Israel's action in Gaza, rescue attempt or act of invasion in disguise?

For those of you who do not watch the news, the Israeli army just went into the Gaza Strip to rescue a kidnapped corporal. They went in with tanks, apcs, artillery pieces, and other such implements of war. Do you think the israelis are just using this as an excuse to invade?

I think Israel has finally had enough and is getting tough with those Palestinian squatters. Note that this cannot be an "invasion" as there is no such country as Palestine and no country claims soveriegnty over that land.

I think what is eventually going to happen is that the Israelis will finally push all of those people out of the region with military force. They will issue a time table. Anyone still there after a certain date will be killed. End of story.

Any other country would have done this after the very first terrorist attack against them. The jews have been more than patient. I would actually say they have been negligent of their responsibilities toward their own people. Obviously, they need a DMZ around their country since every one of their neighbors is crazy and hostile toward them. It's about time, they built one. That will finally ensure the peace in that region of the world.

First of all, Israel doesn't need any excuse to go into Gaza. Gaza is a historically Jewish area, and currently doesn't belong to any country. It's basically a pen maintained by the Arab world and the United Nations to breed hatred of Jews and the State of Israel.

Attacks are launched out of Gaza every single day into Israel-proper which kill, cause massive damage, send people into shock ... especially in the town of Sderot.

However, if the Gaza terror groups would give back Gilad Shalit, there's no doubt Israel would pull back completely at this time, giving the Hamas and co. time to regroup for more attacks on Israel. Hopefully Israel doesn't do this, and drives the enemy back far enough they are no longer able to act on their murderous fantasies.

Its more than a rescue attempt, its a show of force. The otherside drew first blood when they kidnapped the soldier. Hamas is behind it all, yet they cowar like little girls claiming not to know a damned things. Bull schittt!!! They masterminded the whole thing, and Israel knows it.

Its a show of force and I hope Israels kicks Hamas butt. A hard enough **** kickin and maybe Hamas will think twice before acting like fools again.

it really is a sturdy question, that i do not have a strong answer to, and neither does all people else as far as i visit ascertain. Why would a president want his ambassador, that he chosen, to die in that way? What will be his motivation? the superb answer i visit come back up with is an blunders in judgment, no longer an intentional act to rid the international of the ambassador.

After going to the mat in numerous "Peace Talks" over the years, WHY would they invade???
Think about it.
You can not deny the fact that Israel HAS in fact bent over backwards to have peace over there! They are NOT just going to go away.
