( First, cudos to the guy above who mentioned Chris Berman: the king of all noisy morons. If you saw ESPN doing the U.S. Open, you would see how utterly stupid he is, and can't do anything but act like a drunk at the end of the bar, talking to the TV set alone cuz he's too fat and stupid to have a date.)
Rome is the great symbol of ESPN: forget about facts, just get the noisiest, most obnoxious guy you can find, and put him on the air. When you see how long ESPN has been peddling Rome in various show formats (Rome must be really good with his mouth open on his knees), you see that "PTI" must have been a complete accident. There's no way ESPN could intend such a good show.

Hey, "Thanks for the vine". Just kidding. I do find him entertaining. I've listened to many sports talk hosts over the years and find Rome to be the most entertaining, best interviewer, and best prepared. Now I have liked others, but apparently they were "too nice" and didn't last long. I often don't agree with him, but I certainly don't think he's an idiot.

ESPN's Colin Cowherd is at least as annoying if not more so. The man has opinions on everything but what you listen to ESPN for.

Thanks for bringing it up. Rome is an ***. But because he is such an obnoxious loud-mouth know-it-all, he attracts viewers and listeners. If only no one would watch, the ratings would go down and ESPN would be forced to fire him. Oh, to dream.

Why the networks subject their viewers to such a noxious experience
beats me. And now CBS has added him to the sunday pregame.
I m switching to FOX, an otherwise inferior lineup.
