This friendship has been for 5 years 6 months, nothing was making me to suspect such a reaction.
By the way, she has a big house and there is enough space, but I think the space wasn't in her heart.
Would you consider her as a friend after that ?

I agree with Joni. How many times I've seen people take in friends and then they aren't friends anymore. You'll be fine, everything works out with a little work and sweat on your end. But don't not be friends with the person because they aren't able to let you stay at their home.

Yes. But she has to take care of herself first. And if she wanted to remain friends with you; she did the right thing. No better way to ruin a good friendship that by doing what you asked her to do. It isn't personal, so don't take it that way! Just because someone is your friend - they don't owe you shelter. Did you need help because of a domestic violence situation -- if so there are professionals for just this purpose. I've had to tell friends no. I've had to tell sponsees no. It isn't personal, really, and in the long run your friendship can grow, whereas if you tried to live together, it would probably die. Let it go.

it doesnt seem right you should be there for your friends when they need you the most.but I am sure she had her reasons. best of luck and remember there are other places like shelters, and woman shelters that you can go to.
