For years the USAF C-5 Galaxy was the biggest operational aircraft. I'm not sure if the new Jumbo jet with 3 stories out of france is bigger

I thought that the largest in service plane was still the Russian Antonov Transport--where its whole front end tilts up like a car trunk

That all depends how you look at biggest. Do you mean tallest, longest, heaviest, largest wingspan, etc?
