I have video files that I keep on DVD-R's. I wan't them to last a long time, like a lifetime. I have been keeping them in a regular CD booklet. Is that a good way to do it? What would you reccomend?

I forget what it's called, but go somewhere like RiteAid and look in the electronics section and I think it might be called 'STOP CD ABUSE', either that or that's just what it says in big letters, but yeah. It's a skin that goes on your cd, and you can even play the cd with the skin on it.

A CD binder or booklet should do the job just fine. Another more expensive solution is to use CD jewel cases or DVD cases, they will offer even better protection, but cost more.

Best Buy or any COMP USA has CD sleeves you can buy.
I keep ALL my DVD, CDs whether they are W/R or R or whichever, in these sleeves and write what they are on the sleeve. They are usually white and will protect your discs. My only problem is making sure OTHER people in my family remember to use them :)

If I were you I would keep all movies on a backup hardrive. But if you want a bunch of dvds then put them in jewel cases. They're cheap, and are the best to prevent scratches.
