Yes. I have always wanted a family. I have a great boyfriend, and a beautiful 6 month old daughter. The politics at my job I could live without, but now that I have my daughter, all that seems trivial.

F no, I am way off. I think/thought I had the "dream man" but things have looked different everyday for the past 2 years. Career/education goals.. not even hardly. My bf is my whole life and I need to start thinking realistically.

At age 64, my life is completely different than I expected. I never even expected to know a person from another country, and here I am married to one, and living in the Third World mountains of Mexico, and loving every bit of it.
It takes a lot of patience and a lot of staying out of trouble, and a lot of following boring, conventional morality we'd rather not follow. IF IT FEELS GOOD, DO IT may feel right when you are young, but you can have 40 miserable years as you get olderr.

It is in no way, shape and form what I dreamed I would be doing at this stage in my life. Not from what I dreamed 30, 25, 20, 10 years ago...
But it is better in many ways than I expected, and certainly solid.

Retired. Achieved goal of the career I wanted. Disappointed that wife not touchy-feely or romantic and has excess inhibitions, is emotionally truncated

Mostly, no. Besides, some goals are so elusive that once you reach'em they don't mean much anymore. Luckly, children as much as I like them have never been my ultimate goal and never had them.

I hope I'm on my way to achieving them... I'm only 17. But so far life is pretty superb and I'm quite optimistic about the future.
