Well, we are using anything we want, and take them from all over the world!
We take the petroleum of the Arab countries and make them terrorists, due to our ways!
We cooperate with the Soviet Union and China and exchange goods and services!
We supply the necessary to the drag growers in Latin America, Afghanistan, Turkey and elsewhere!
We establish dictatorships to where we find appropriate and rule!
Also, China claims they are communist, but we do not care about their system but our profits! Similarly, Japan has Emperor! Do we care? We allowed them even after they were surrendered without any claims and terms! On the same time the communist China and the Communist Soviet Union were our allies! Why to care of their internal systems?

When we started using fireworks to celebrate the 4th, we weren't importing them from China. They were made here, and many still are. It is just that in many places fireworks are illegal, so since they can no longer be made & sold here, they are imported from China, also Mexico and a bunch of other countries. Just because rockets were invented in China, there is no reason not to enjoy fireworks.
Maybe it would be a good thing if big corperations were stopped from trading with China until they cleaned up their human rights record and practices, BUT 1) they have 1 out of 6 of the world's customers. 2) If you have been reading the news lately, we ain't got such a hot record in the human rights department ourselves.
Just google torture+US see what ya get.

This in the first century of the current era the Chinese invented gunpowder, there is no connection between such development and the current Chinese government.
What we use to day is far different than what was developed in those distant times.
We use these fireworks because they reminiscent of the battles of our revolution.
