My breasts are extremely sore about a week or two before every period, is there anything I can do to stop the pain, or lessen it?

(No I am not pregnant because this happens every time I am about to get my period. I doubt that each time I am pregnant)

They are so sore that I don't wear a bra during this time. Also touching (my arms brushing against them) is very painful as well.

Maybe Midol ? I forget the other medicine that's like Midol that works like it. Midol is supposed to relieve the tenderness. I had a baby 5 months ago and when my breast were getting rid of the milk because I'm not breastfeeding, I used these little gerber cooling patches from Wal*Mart that stick on the breast. They have them at Target also and some that stick in the freezer too. They'd work for periods too.

Honey, first of all I would like to say that most women get that. Don't feel like you are the only one. When this happens soak your hands in the coldest water you can get then place them gently on your breasts. Leave them there for a while. If that doesnt work then try taking a warm bath. Make sure your breats are under the water. Make sure you put some epsom salt in the bath. You can get that at any drug store. Hope I helped!

Have you tried anti-inflammatory meds like Ibuprofen, Aleve, etc.? In some instances Benadryl works too. It not only decreases inflammation but it also lessens the bloat as well due to a diuretic quality. Warm compresses also help to soothe the soreness. I hope you find some relief.

is it caused by a support issue? if so, try a bigger bra size but only wear it while your breasts are sore.

if a bigger size won;t work, try a smaller size. also try diff rent band and shoulder strap combinations on the bras you already have.

note: This is a complete guess, as I am a guy

honey... you have hormones... sucks doesn't?
besides a warm bath and massage try a lil bit of beer in your diet (if of age), Guinness is best because of all the minerals in it (not just "piss water"), you will find that something about the beer in moderation helps balance the hormones and can help firm up your breast's, even helps with acne to an extent... hate when that happens... bad enough you cramp, get bloated and b*tchy but acne too!

it is the hormons in the body that help get ready for pregancy and that is why they get sore. some times you may have to wear a different size bra to help and take asprain for it to help

If it is severe enough your doctor could perscribe progesterone cream for you to rub on your breasts. You didn't mention your age, so I don't know if your doctor would do this or not.
