I figure he might be feeling de ja vue from '98 and possibly brought forward his resignation. Your thoughts, please? (No swearing now, please be calm!!)

Beckham well knows the effect of getting a red card and letting your teammates down. His resignation spared Rooney the full media blitz which I don't think he could handle at his young age;he's only 20. Yes he was planning to resign but if he were truly selfish he would have waited a couple of days, letting Rooney get roasted alive by the media and the fans. Becks is a class act.

First of all yes and in response to someone else, it defanitly looked like Rooney accidentally stepped on that poor man's balls. But that was after he was fouled multiple times and there was no call. I do not like England but that was some bad crap that flew their way in that game

Rooney is a jerk. And I think Beckam is a nice guy. If he defends Rooneys actions whould change my opinion of him.

Rooney grabbed, pushed shoved and then kicked the poor guy in the balls.

Perhaps...Hmm, i hadn't considered that. I love Beckham, and he did say he'd known for a while that he was going to resign, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say no.

HAHAHA beckham is a pansy, the way he carries himself, you can tell he is a pansy...his injury was fake, his crying was exagerated..it had nothing to do with saving rooney, rooney is the man
