Are you using the traditional Yahoo! Mail or Yahoo! Mail beta? I also use the Opera web browser. I've not experience any problems using Yahoo! Mail on the latest version of Opera, verison 9. However, I do experience some problems using Yahoo! Mail beta ( I've more than one account with Yahoo!). There isn't a whole lot you can do. Yahoo! Mail was designed for Internet Explorer and Firefox. Worldwide, 90% of Internet users have IE as their primary web browser and Firefox accounts for another 10%. Less than 1% of Internet users have Opera. Therefore, it isn't surprising that Yahoo! sometimes ignores Opera.
Some suggestions. If you aren't using the latest version of Opera then it time to update. Opera 9 includes a lot of fixes to improve proper rendering of webpages. Be sure to turn on both javascript and java from the Quick Preferences menu. Finally, if you are using the beta then you might consider moving back to the standard one.

the only way to get them to work is use a main stream browser like internet explorer or firefox.
