The dude had an awesome song, then refused to follow up on it. Was he just a one-hit wonder, or did he become a weirdo?

He wouldn't DEAL with the record companies, so he's out. Some other dude took his spot. That's how record companies, Hollywood, and BIG businesses operate. If you won't dance with them, you don't get to enjoy the music. So he became a weirdo.

He's still out there doing music, but dedicates most of his time to his his cause of ending child abuse, human traficking and the sort. He's a cool dude...annoying songs, but a good heart, give the guy a break.

I don't know about his music, but I recently seen him on Oprah. He has been spending time and tons of money in Indonesia helping the people who lost everything in the tsunami. He along with others donations are building new houses for the homeless.
I don't know why he isn't singing, but I do admire him for his efforts in Indonesia.
