I heard after 9/11, that Bush was told that it was gone to happen but didn't take it seriously. Who believes that, because for some reason I kind of do. Maybe not all of, but at least some of it. And this thing on weapons of mass destruction, what's up with that?

Come on people, there was a tape saying that George W. Bush was called and notified on it. Someone needs to look up their information and what they know. Because from what I know, is that Bush was aware of 9/11 before it happened! Please don't tell me that he didn't, if you do that's your opinon not mine!

It's not about believing what I see on the net, it's about evidence and which I've seen plenty of!

And 1 more thing, how can anyone really say that Bush didn't know or not? But I think that he did, that's my story and I am sticking to that.

The Weapons of Mass Destruction was a reason for USA to attack Iraq with full force (they have been strategically bombing the place for years), though it was forged by the CIA (presumably under direction of the government, as is common political practice in not just USA). This was admitted half a year ago, after Saddam had been captured, however it was largely ignored by the US media - but not the European. There never were weapons of mass destruction in neither Afghanistan nor Iraq.

Although the war in Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 nor national security, the unfortunate event gave Bush Jr. the excuse he needed to finish the war his father started. He had, however, squandered most of the sympathies the rest of the world gave USA for having been targeted by terrorism, on committing genocide in Afghanistan and behaving like a right ****. Therefore, only two countries (mine own, Denmark, included) joined the US call to battle against Iraq.

Despite the US attacking insignificant countries, there still remain enemies of the western civilization. The two largest threats of those are Iran, which is forseen to be the next target of the US, and North Korea. Iran does not currently own any weapons of mass destruction, but they are nearing completion of their atomic programme. North Korea have remained quite succesful at rooting out spies, and consequently nobody knows what they're doing, planning or owning. They have made several threats at random against their neighbors, the western civilization and certain countries - specifically USA. They also claim to currently possess several armed nuclear warheads mounted on ICBMs, though most agree that they don't have the technology for ICBMs and only have tactical nukes, rendering them incapable of attacking USA or Europe.

[edit]: ben s - Rod D. Martin is mad as a hatter, and far from a reliable source. His articles include such gems as "Oil Is Well: The Shortage Is A Myth, And Not A New One", despite the claims of every single scientist that we have passed the peak in oil. Also, he's claiming that the current shuttle problems are due to Nixon.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

[edit2]: Leave it to Americans to believe their government is plotting their own downfall. Yahoo! Answers has become way too crammed with crazy conspiracy theorists.

One, no Bush didn't know that it was going to happen on 9/11 but most of us, including Mr. Clinton, expected something like this to happen eventually. We're not immune. Secondly, yes, there were weapons of mass destruction. They just found evidence of them a few weeks ago. Most of them were sent to Syria when we took so long to do anything about them. Saddam maybe be a mass murderer, but he was not fool. Naturally, you already made up your mind before you asked the question, so like so many other libs, you will refuse to believe the truth.

Just last week our military and allies found a chemical stock pile that was hidden. We know that Saddam Hussein used them on his own people. Read recent news articles on the discovery of these WMD's.

When a society so blindly believes and follows everything its govt. tells them, never questioning but only following, to this I have to say:

"Those who will give up essential liberties to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety"
