Asteroid 2004 XP14 was due to pass us today at 11:25 am in North America central time....are we still here?

Actually, it makes its closest pass to Earth July 3 at 4 hours 44 minutes Universal Time, or about 12:44 am July 3 Eastern Daylight time, 11:44 pm July 2 Central, and so on. It's nearest approach will be about a quarter million miles away--about the distance to the moon.

I've listed a couple of RELIABLE sites with information about the fly-by. And don't worry your pretty little head--we'll still be here tomorrow...
