I am growing a beefsteak tomato plant in an upside down planter. It is incredibly strong and healthy, gets tons of flowers, but the flowers then just dry up and fall off, never become tomatoes! I use Osmocote fertilizer and it is watered every single day it does not rain. ANY ideas?

Sounds like a pollination problem, when it blossims it needs to be pollanated either by bees or wind, or you can do it yourself with a artists paint brush, just rub the brush on each flower back and forth for a few days that should do it.

I have done this before. You are either watering too much, or not enough...Green house around here said water until it comes out of the bottom of the container......wait 2-3 days b/4 watering again
You can also be burning your plant by over fertilizing it...........
If you don't mind, I would suggest this.....carefully lay your plant on the side and hit container all around to loosen soil............carefully take out plant, examine it ...notice if soil is wet, damp or dry and remember last time you watered. This should tell you how much or how little you have given it.....I would then loosen soil in container, loosen soil around plant b/4 you repot it...carefully.I have better luck with Miracle Grow . You can always mix up 1 small level scoop of the Miracle Grow to a Large glass of water.Only give miracle grow this way every 3 weeks. Water normally (plant also needs sunshine daily.)Good luck

The only time I have encountered a similar problem, it was from applying too much plant food. The plants grew to almost 6' tall, but produced no tomatoes. I definitely over-did it with the Stern;s plant food.
