You can purchase any color shoe to adhere the taps to, but I assume you are inquiring about the taps themselves being colored. May I ask why you would want colored taps? I think that to do so properly so the color doesn't come off because of the constant motion against the floor the metal itself would have to be infused with color which would probably be expensive and an unnecessary expense....who sees your taps anyway?

OK...after dancing for many years and teaching as well....

After countless competitions, conventions, workshops and camps...

I have never, ever in my entire life seen colored taps for tap shoes. If you are adamant on having them I suppose get a can of spray paint and spray only the taps...but it will most likely rub off on the floor...So i dont really know what good it would do.

Coloring the shoe itself will have more of an impact on the audience, don't you think? and another thing you can do ...get some elastic sequin and make a band out of it...put it over the middle of your tap shoe and that really adds pizazz as well..

If there is such a thing as colored taps...good luck in finding them! Have fun and good luck!

My experience has always been that it's perfectly OK for silver taps to be seen in performances. I've never seen colored ones.

I haven't seen those before, but I think if you use a sharpie it would lightly color the taps. Just a thought.
