Although the William Shatner episodes were just incredible, the best episode that is never mentioned, is the episode of the old man and his dog who are killed. When the man realizes he's dead, he and the dog begin to walk to what they think is heaven. "St. Peter" at the gate won't let in the dog and the dog begins to go crazy and try to run away. The Gatekeeper tells the man that he will sneak the dog over to the man after he comes inside. He promises him that he will find a way to get the dog to the old man somehow, he just has to come inside. Finally, the old man tells the Gatekeeper that any place too good for his dog is too good for him and they leave. He then runs into the real St. Peter and realizes that it was hell that he had almost walked into...not heaven. The dog had seen evil when the old man couldn't and saved him.
Also, Five Characters in Search of an Exit is wonderful.

I absolutely loved Twilight Zone and look forward to the marathon which is usually shown on New Years eve.I don't remember the name of this episode but it is by far my favorite: Dennis Weaver stars as a man that is on Death Row awaiting execution by the electric chair except he is "dreaming ", and all of the people in the dream DA, judge etc are part of his dream, he tries to convince them of this up until the time of his execution, unsuccessfully! At the end he is electrocuted and then the "dream" begins again. That is his eternal punishment to be executed endlessly! I found it be the most chilling of the episodes. I also liked "There's always room for one more" and "The hitchhiker" and "To serve man"

I really liked the episode with Capt. T. Kirk. They're on a Mid Atlantic flight and a creature from another wormhole ends up on the wings of the 747. He tried to convince other passengers something was out there and no one believed him. The little monster was trying to rip the wings/engine off the plane. That was wicked.
I have two, oops!
When this woman had surgery on her eyes and the lights went out in the whole city- she wasn't sure if her can see or not. By morning she went mad with grief, digged her eyes out believing couldn't see. The next day her butler came to check on her and she was dead. Poor thing could see and didn't know it.

My personal favorite was "To serve man". Aliens arrive and they have a book which is found by humans to be more or less the aliens Mantra book. They offer a way to cure illnesses, but it requires the ill to return to their planet to be cured. Later the scientists decipher the book to find that it's a cook book that describes the best way to serve man as the main course.
Another favorite of course is "Time enough at last" (Burgess Meredith) which will probably be a more popular answer.
Twilight Zone was my favorite 30 min. tv show of all time, and I consider Rod Serling as one of the most innovative tv pioneers.

The one entitled, "The Fear", starring Mark Richman. It was a story of how our fears can get blown out of proportion. The story begins with state trooper Franklin (Richman) going out to a desolate cabin about a disturbance complaint. Once there he found gigantic footprints on the ground and on the roof of the house. The aliens were midget sized, who used a giant size figure ballon to scare the earthling, whom they were just as scared of. You didn't know this until the end, when Franklin shot and deflated the balloon, and the little creatures showed themselves.

wow I don't think I can pick just one!
I really enjoyed the one with the 3 astronauts that though they crash landed on a desert planet, ended up killin each other off for the last of the supplies, then the last remaining one goes over a hill and finds a high way, they crashed on earth after all! It was such a great examination of the human mind.

"Nothing in the Dark"
It was the story of an old lady (Gladys Cooper) who had cloistered herself away in her home, never going out or letting anyone in, so that she could avoid meeting Mr. Death. Then one day a young police officer (Robert Redford) is shot outside her home and she decides to help him.
I've always like that one because it was a subtle but moving episode and very bittersweet. Good chemistry between the actors causing their performances to shine.

The Monsters are Due on Maple Street: That one was so great, especially with the final scene where the aliens are talking about it.
Time Enough at Last: the glasses one, it's a shoe-in
The one with the niece who kills her uncle and he created a robot that acts like him. Hilarious.
The one where that buisnessman wants to go to willowby and falls off the train and willowby turns out to be the funeral home.
The one where the Loisiana millionare makes his moneygrubbing family wear those masks that disfigure their faces that represent their greed and evil souls.
