I have no idea but try one of these search engines as one will have the answer you are looking for:
www.google.com
www.yahoo.co.uk
www.ask.com
www.msn.com (New and improved search engine)
They will give direct links for the info and alot more accurate info and you will be able to do comparisons on certain sites to see whats better and what the differences are between them.
Just type one of the names into the search engine and hay presto.

There is actually a lot of diferences. You cannot compare the clocks of the 2, because they are just so different. An AMD 3000+ does not run at 3.0 GHz, but more around 2.6~. You cannot compare it to a Pentium 4 540 2.6GHz, because its the just the way it handles the proccessors. If you have a Pentium D 540 3.4GHZ and a AMD 4200+ x2, the amd will clock higher even though it will say it is 3.2 GHz.
Read reviews and research.

The basic diferrence lies in the number of transistors that have been inegreted in the Processors to make a logic for your computer to woek in which the Intel overcome the AMD with a huge steps in speed you wont find much difference. This is something which tech are concerned about and thus they prefer to use intel.

Intel is like the US government and AMD is like New Zealands government. Who do you think would win. AMD is followed by a heap of unaware followers who I seriously question when it comes to temperature control within the processor.

Intel is definetly better. AMD burns more easily. Intel was the first to make. Then AMD copied

if you have enough money and want to but a dual core cpu then buy amd.. it is much more expensive then intel's dual core but has a great performance ( not much of cooling problem ) as a D-cpu. but if you dont wanna spend much to a cpu, and you r sure not to tire ur PC much go and buy an AMD. my friends who use AMD and Intel made their choice this way and none of them complaint about AMD or Intel...

AMD chips are slightly less expensive and have slightly better quality control.
Intel used to manufacture and sell chips that couldn't add properly. It didn't both Andy Grove at all.

AMD has better Floating Point Processors, which are important if your are doing heavy number crunching or distributed computing.

AMD chips will do more work per cycle and cost less. Intel chips will slow down when hot. AMD chips will burn out when hot.

AMD "does more" per clock cycle than intel... AMD processors are also more fragile and don't have as good cooling.
