What should i do if i place my new mini sd card in my phone and it doesn't do anything?

I tried placing songs on it, but it said "No music files found." I've heard i need to format it to my phone, but when i insert it, nothing happens.

It should format automatically but try rebooting the handset with the card installed. If this don't work, go into the settings and you should be able to do it manually. You also need to tell the phone that this information should go into the card instead of the main memory just like a pocket PC.
