This country has to invest both money, medicine and education in the areas of the world where poverty is the greatest. Secondly this country has to stop supporting governments that are corrupt, as long as their anti-terrorist we can reform them later. This policy is not working, it shows the citizens of those nations that we do not care about them or their needs, making it much easier for organization like Al-Quida to recruit in. Thirdly the extreme Christian right needs to understand that God will determine the time and place for Armageddon, they have no decision in it. Meaning that the extremely religious right of the Republican party needs to be ignored. Fourth, the U.S. needs to find away to convince both Russia and China for the need to have representative democracy within their countries. Finally the U.S. must make the state of Israel and the Arabic world understand, that neither of their cultures, society or religious beliefs are going to disappear. The world cannot nor should not be held hostage because these two groups of people will not accept nor tolerate one another. That is what I believe the U.S. needs to do.

Well, first, I think it'd be really smart to have better relations with other countries, and a great way to do that would be to have more open dialogues. Can't get along if ya can't talk and work together, just like a marriage...I also think it'd be a great idea for companies, US companies, to work with our govt. instead of against it or in competition to work out problems where they wanna go and do stuff in other countries, keep it clean, keep it legal, keep it honest etc. Also, it'd be just SUPER if other countries could do that with us. People get greedy when they see money, and first thing you know, somebody's got a knife out to get some from you. Some countries have neither pot nor window, have SEEN neither pot nor window, think the window's some kind of magic or something. We live in the 21st century, for the most part, I think, some countries are still working on the 3rd or 4th. So, 'be gentle and write better treaties' is the right answer, there...also, in some cases, it's better maybe NOT to do business with em at all...if they're corrupt, giving em more money isn't going to fix anything. Stands to reason, don't u think? LOL

We will never be liked by the world
People who are jealous hate
We give more than any other country
We help more than any other Country
They never help us or give back
The way to effectively fight terror is by removing the blinders
We are not threatened by Buddhists, Hindus, or Shintos.
We are threatened by Islam - Have an understanding - the next time we are attacked we will remove the religion and all followers from the planet
The only thing they understand or respect is fear

I like isolationism, strengthen our borders, use our own oil, protect our own citizen and effectively fight terror by publicly hanging anyone domestic or foreign that terrorizes U.S. Citizens. Let all these other countries fight it out. If they want our help, pay for it. We offered in the past just to be degraded, criticized and terrorized. I say let these other countries handle their own problems and I'm not just talking about Iraq, Mexico and France here. If you don't like us don't bother us and we won't bother you.

respect is all the u.s. needs. the only way to get respect is to earn it. as long a the u.s. is the top dog, in war,in economics, in human rights, and basicially the #1 world power, others will never 'like us', all they have to do is respect us. we cant get the liberal at home to like themselves. they feel guilty about having so much and want to give it out country away to others via the u.n. madalene albright[sp] said 'it's not good for the world to have only 1 super power'. we dont need other people to like us. we can win any war, anywhere, anytime, w/anyone. if we leave the u.s. military alone , support them and let them fight the war on terror, we will win. if we can keep our own politicians from attacking our own govt. and not worry about who is going to win the next election, we will win quicker.

Attack the roots of terrorism, ie, stop funding repressive reigimes worldwide, Open up talks with the moderate groups, scale back military operations in all conflict zones, begin rebuilding Iraq (like we promised!). In general, moderate ourselves, civilise ourselves, keep back our right wing findamentalists and open ourselves to human suffering. An empathetic country will be respected, and this will take time

honestly the rest of the globe didn't like us, even under teacher's pet Clinton who did whatever the UN told him too. If we want to be liked we have to be more weak, poor, and helpless the world likes those countries
