well, 1st of all the way ur parents are acting towards u could be the reason that u are feeling insecure about urself... it is not right the way they are acting. when i was 12 i weighed about that too. 12 is a weird age when a girl is starting to develop and may gain weight as women do. it is biologically normal for women to have fat, it relates to childbearing. also if you are about to start ur period u may have bloating in the stomach area. as long as u stay active eat well, and in portioned amouts you should be healthy. there is no normal weight. weight is an individual thing. one 5'1" girl may weigh what you weigh and another 5'1" girl may weigh more or less and look totally proportional due to bone mass, body type, genetics, etc. it matters what you think and how you feel. most guys do not like skinny skinny girls trust me i know. i developed early and have always had curves. i am 22, 5'4" and normally weigh btw 118-135lbs, but recently gained some weight @ 144lbs right now and i get more attention from men now that i did before. it's crazy! hope you feel better, and feel free to email me if you need any support. i am big on nutrition and exercise.

It's too bad your Dad is so insensitive to your feelings. You were made the way you are supposed to be. You will no doubt slim up some on your own as you get older. However, I come from a fairly large family and we realize that is the way our genes run. We are happy with the way we are. At 12, you shouldn't be so concerned. Don't believe the things you read in all the "Star" magazines as to how much you should weigh and how you should look Remember they are getting paid very well for what they do and thus they are able to pay private trainers, have private gyms and their own chefs to prepare their meals. Don't worry about it so much. Just enjoy life while you can.

go to www.seventeen.com and www.briomag.com check out some of their fitness advice and BMI ( Body Mass Index) to calculate your body mass, and to see how healthy your weight is. Now remember you are only 12 and are probably going through a lot of body changes, you may see yourself have a growth spurt soon and all of "the extra fat' will even out. and by the way swimming is a great way to lose a few extra pounds. just get active. go skating. ride a bike. take a hike. join a sports team. and Maintain a balanced diet. You are normal as can be, and try to buy clothes that compliment your figure (rather then what everyone else is wearing) Find your own identity, and remember beauty comes from within. Put on a smile, it's your greatest feature you can show off. :)

Well in that case it is not, if it was all muscle and you were a very well muscle built girl than yes it would be normal. But no fret being a kid and just a tad overweight is not bad. Try not to eat foods with Trans fat, have a daily exercise time, limit TV time and remember you can do it!!! Good luck and try doing this for a while then surprise him even know it may seem a little hard!

It's not going 2 happen over-night.
U have 2 work at it & it is Work.
Balanced diet, look on the Net.
Exercise will help U get fit, just doing something that doesn't involve eating will keep U occupied & the weight will soon drop off.

Dear, u still growing up, and your body will continue to change. About you height nd weight, also its not stable yet. don't try to do any kind of diet, your body needs a lot of nutrients to keep growing. Engaging with some exercise will make you feel much better and boosts your confidence. Best
