I am married so this is not a major crisis and we want to start a family soon, just not this minute. I went off the pill and we had sex. Yes, it was stupid, I realize to not use any other form of birth control. I did not get my period this month so I am not sure if I am ovulating yet. Should I take the morning after pill tomorrow, and if I do, will it mess with my system and prevent my period from coming back sooner?
Thanks!

The morning after pill is only effective within 72 hours of pregnancy. There is a pill you can take that results in an abortion of the fetus and can be given within the first three months of pregnancy. You should go to the doctor to find out for sure if you are pregnant and take an over the counter test as soon as possible.

No just refrain from sex for awhile. Don't take the morning after pill. Use protection until you are ready to start a family. If it's meant for you to be pregnant don't feel bad just accept it. Don't take the pill until you find out for sure whether you are pregnant as this might harm your baby.

the best information i ever read in a magazine, and experienced a friend go through it... ready... and PLEASE tell all your friends who are on birth control...

"A woman's chance of pregnancy increases by 75% in the FIRST month after she stops taking the pill"

the morning after pill DOES mess with your system, and makes PMS feel like a stroll through the park. however, usually your period comes very soon after taking Plan B

Take a pregnancy test. They are very accurate and can determine early pregnancy based on the hormone HCG, which is only release during pregnancy. I wish you the best.
