because without material possessions, we have more time to reflect on what is truly important to us. like a sunset, or the flight of a bird, the taste of warm stew on a cold day. things like that.

Because they are trying to compensate for something they don't have in their life by buying material goods. But it doesn't work, so they are still unhappy.

rich people feel as they have everything and wishes there are more things to want.poor people wants and wants and feels the joy of getting things that rich feel these things are worthless and small to them. rich wants bigger and bigger until there are no much bigger left.

it is the old saying money can't buy happiness that is what i think. people are much more appreciative when they are not materialistic which is probably what makes them happy
