im a young singer and i was wondering is there a way i can be discovered by someone, maybe by jive records?

Go anywhere to sing. Take your guitar and visit every open mic at every coffee shop you can find.

No, because the young singer thing is done way too often. It was hot in the '90s, but you have to be crazy good to get discovered young today. If you were original enough and had enough well written songs, had a decent fan base already and were playing gigs regularly with good attendence, then I might be able to help you out.

Demo tapes are a good start. Also try getting a talent agent, that would help. And do as many gigs as possible in order to get noticed by crowds and build up participation. Records like people with experience.

Make a website...like on freewebs or something (I did and now have a dot tk website) , make a resume on your website, and email the record company your web address and about you EVERYDAY 5 times. I know this sounds a little pushy, but it works...but, don't just send your website URL just to jive records...the more the merrier...remember that.

I sing to and what you need to do is promote yourself. Send in demos, do lil talent shows or wateva. Put yourself out there and keep the faith and you'll make it hopefully. Cuz I'm trying to make too. GOOD LUCK.
