I like dish better than directv but dish has sirius radio and directv has xm radio and i like xm better.

i have directv now, and it sucks. if you live in an area where it rains alot or is cloudy alot like in florida, you will get frustrated. it will cut in and out and say "searching for satelite signal". the wierd thing is, it doesnt cut all of the channels, and of course, it usually cuts out the channels that you like or are watching. a few weeks ago there was a bad thunderstorm and directv cut out completely (not surprising). then the next day it was really sunny and not a cloud in sight. my tv still wouldnt work. it didnt work for a week until i called. they were gonna send someone out for 70 bucks. thank god i told them not to come, it worked the next day. im going to switch to brighthouse. they have digital cable, phone and internet for 134 bucks. thats a way better deal than directv.

We have had Sirius in our truck since January. We LOVE it!! As for satellite vs cable..... I'm leaning towards satellite these days. The cable company in my new area is expensive, limited and sucks!! I am trying to set up satellite, going with DISH. I can get DVR for like $5.00. We can set up like 4 TVs. 120 channels and i think it's all about 65.00 a month with a rebate for 10 a month for the next 10 months. digital cable out here runs close to 70.

I have digital cable, but have had direct TV...Oh My God....Direct Tv sucks big time! It would bairly be sprinkling out and the satelite would cut out....it was so frustrating. Then they had the nerve to make that commercial where that lady said "there were wires and street signs down every where...the storm was horrible, but we still had our Direct Tv...it was amazing!" I was watching it as the same time as Saturday Night Live, and I actually thought that it was a skit at first cause it was so far from the truth. When I figured out it actually was a real commercial I call Direct Tv and complained that it was false advertising. That is how adiment I am about NOT getting Direct Tv

Dish & DirectTV sucks if you live in an apt/condo complex & you're facing the wrong direction. Definitely go cable.
If that's not an issue & you get clear reception, I'd go DirectTV. They seem to have more to offer than Dish.

I've had all 3 fairly recently and I feel like Dish is better than the rest.

I have comcast cable with on demand and I love it. Pretty soon I think on demand will put video stores out of business.

Dish has a crappy on demand, but I still like it more then cable.
