downloads db?

what i am after is a database that i can use on a website to allow uploading/ downloading of online game maps. from the website i am creating

what im after is something like pafiledb but something a bit prettier

most modern databases allow you to store blobs (Binary Large OBjects) in them, but it is also possible to just store the file on the server itself and save the path into a field in the database.
