Have you ever looked for an ex-love years later just to see how he/she was?

Did you have success finding them? Did it turn out to be good or bad?

He was my first love, his name is Gilbert and I think he moved back to San Antonio, TX after we broke up. The only reason I'd like to see him again is because he was such a great friend aside from being my boyfriend and he also had a great sense of humor. When we broke up he told me he would see me again someday. It hasn't happened nor have I looked for him, but I just thought it would be cool to talk to him again.

GIRL U WOULD NOT BELIEVE. WHEN HE DISAPPEARED I THOUGHT IT WAS THE END. I GOT W. SUM1ELSE BUT KEPT THINKIN BOUT HIM ALL THE TIME WUNDERIN WHAT HE WAS UP TO HOW HE WAS DOIN'. THEN MY RELATIONSHIP WENT SOUR AND I WAS DETERMINED TO FIND MY MAN AGAIN. IT HAD BEEN OVA 10YRS SINCE I'D SEEN OR HEARD FROM HIM. THEN I FOUND HIM IN PRISON...BUT I GOUND HIM. WE'VE BEEN TALKING FOR 6YRS NOW. COME TO FIND OUT, HE'D BEEN LOOKING FOR ME ALSO. I've been there and done that. And it turned out well. I hadn't seen my ex-boyfriend of 3 years ago and even though I had good connections with his old friends I didn't bother mentioning him or asking about him. It felt longer than 3 yrs and we were older with new responsibilities and we were out on our own now. Finally when I chose to ask about his whereabouts and trying to see if he would like to talk to me again. Everyone responded telling me they didn't know where he was since he had a girlfriend at the time and was living at her place. It was a bit of a downfall, but one day I went downtown and I seen him. As soon as we confronted each other it was an instant hit. We talked about our recent relationships and what we was planning on doing the next for our futures. Well it seems that those plans changed because now were planning on our own plans. We began as friends and we still are even though we are attracted to each other. But we rather keep it like this because there are other people involve because it will help all of us. Now my other relationship that I was in, well I feel like I wasted two years because I found out somethings I never knew before. But I'm okay and happy. I can say that it is a success and it turned out real good.

I actually looked someone up on myspace the other day and found him. We "dated" for a very short period of time four years ago. It wasn't serious or anything, but yeah, sometimes I wonder what's happened to such people and I look them up. I'll contact the ones I still want to know, lol, and just move on if I don't care to know them anymore.
I do believe that sometimes you can still be friends afterwards...it worked with two of my ex's. The other one, I didn't care to catch up with.

I have a friendship with my ex now after a fight for 5 years. The fight was about something totally irrelevant to our relationship....was actually about a car accident he caused! Almost killed my sister! I also check up on a guy I had a HUGE crush on for 15 years every once in awhile. Just to see how he is and NOT to strike up any realtionships. I am totally happy in my life right now. It is just curiosity!

I looked up my first love and he was married. A couple years later he got divorced and looked me up. He drove 18 hrs to see me and stayed the weekend. It was wonderful. We lived to far apart to get things started again but we still talk monthly for the past 3 years. I have a picture of us at 18 and now another one 20yrs later!

I keep in contact with several of my exs. We have been able to maintain healthy friendships. It's really nice. I was friends with all of them first though before we dated, i wouldn't keep in touch though if we hadn't been Friends first and for so long. I also wouldn't contact someone I dumped. I have one ex I broke up with in a bad way i know how to contact him but choose not to. maybe one day I'll have the courage to apologize to him. You never know what you're going to get when you get in touch with anyone you've lost touch with, it can be a good or bad experience in any circumstance, depending on how they are doing. good luck

I lost my husband of twenty years almost three years ago there was a man that I had new and met at the same time as I met my husband. we worked together for years and I tried to get in touch with him after my husband died but I could not find him.

I did find my ex-love and had the most beautiful passionate relationship I have ever experienced. Unfortunately it spiralled out of control and we ended up not being friends. I wish we hadn't gotten together because now I've lost him forever.

I had success finding her cause we have mutual friends. It turned out weird. So weird in fact that I've had the chance to see her since and passed. She was my first love.

I had no luck finding him, but ironically, found out that he was friends with some people I met recently. After I talked with them, I realized I didn't really care any more.
